Why Not Hitch isn’t at my campus yet—how can I help?

We’re growing! If you’re a student, staff member, or campus leader and want to bring Why Not Hitch to your school, email us to express your interest. We’d love to connect and expand to your campus!

What about the Casino Express—who can ride?

The Casino Express is open to the public! You do not need to be a student, but you must be 21 or older to ride. Trips run weekly from Atlanta to select North Carolina casinos, with 8 hours of casino time before returning. Round-trip fare is just $60.

Do you only offer rides for students?

No. While our weekend routes are designed for students, parents, and staff of participating colleges are also welcome to ride. Whether you're visiting your student or heading home, Why Not Hitch is here to make travel easier for the whole campus community.

Can I ship something on the bus without riding?

Yes! You can ship an item to or from your student, even if you’re not riding. Just pay the standard item fee and be sure that someone is available to pick up the item at the scheduled stop when the bus arrives.

Is there a restroom on board?

Yes, the bus is equipped with a restroom. However, to ensure a clean and pleasant ride for everyone, the onboard restroom will remain closed. We make a restroom stop along the route for your convenience.

Are seats assigned?

No assigned seats here! Seating is first come, first served, so we recommend arriving early to grab your preferred spot.

How much luggage can I bring?

Every passenger may bring one checked bag (stored under the bus) for free and one personal carry-on item (like a backpack or small tote). If you plan to bring additional luggage or oversized items (such as a bike, TV, or large box), you must select the "Extra Luggage Add-On" at checkout for an additional fee.
